For some real partner dancing fun and a great night out
learning the leisure dance classics including Waltz,
Quickstep, Modern Tango Slow Foxtrot and enjoying the
exotic rhythms of Latin America with the Cha cha cha,
Rumba, Samba and Mambo plus a taste of Classic Jive
our nice 'n' easy introductory courses are great for
first-time dancers to have some fun getting to grips
with just enough of the most popular dances to get by
comfortably and confidently at the many social events
where dancing is featured.
ideal preparation for that wedding, your retirement
cruise, the club dinner dance, a Masonic ladies' evening
or just to take advantage of our excellent facilities
and enjoy a regular fun night out dancing to some great
music in a relaxed atmosphere with your new friends.

KIDZ
STUFF
Our Kidz stuff programme is a central feature of
the dance centre's appeal to Kidz from tots to teens. A supportive
and safe environment with qualified and experienced dance
professionals ensures that your child's development is properly
but discretely nurtured so that the kidz can just enjoy the
fun of learning and dancing. Dancing's great not only for
both physical and mental co-ordination but also, and equally
importantly, for the child's self-confidence and social facility.
The kidz progress is verified by external examiners and their
genuine talent, progress and achievements are marked by a
series of graded awards, which they prize and love to collect.

PERSONAL
LESSONS
Personal lessons, with one trained teacher to one person or
couple, offer a convenient and cost-effective way of tailoring your
personal tuition to your individual requirements, lifestyle and
timetable. You decide what you would like to do, and when, and you
even set your own pace. Single lessons can be booked to catch up on
a missed class or block booked to ensure that you reserve in advance
the times and dates that will be most convenient to your schedule.
We are also pleased to be able to offer Emergency
Dance Lessons for the First Dance at your wedding.

Philip and Christine are both highly qualified and
experienced dance teachers recognized by the British Dance
Council, International Dance Organisation and World Dance
& Dance Sport Council. They are also members of the
International Dance Teachers' Association.
The Diment Macdonald Dance Centre has been at the
very nub of popular leisure dancing in Southampton for over
25 years - an extraordinary achievement and a testimony to
the ongoing and enduring popularity of a fun approach to
